1 Year Anniversary of Farewell, Doomed Planet!

One year ago yesterday I self-released Farewell, Doomed Planet!. I’ve had a lot of great response to the album. As I did with Music for the DMV, I decided to do a little recap of what the past year has looked like in terms of promoting the album. I’ve embedded an image of the report below, or you can download as a PDF here.

In celebration, here are some download codes for the album. You can redeem them at Bandcamp:

“Baleen Executioner” and Alka’s “King Card” on the radio

A few spins of Alka’s “King Card,” featuring me as a guest vocalist, on the radio:

Yesterday Joint Venture Radio played three songs from the album on the Alien Disco versus Waverider Show. Catch the archive on Dropbox.

Tonight, Kate Bosworth includes “Baleen Executioner” off Farewell, Doomed Planet! as well as “King Card” on Warminster Community Radio’s Dark Train.

Skylab Radio Charts

Trinity Quadrant Cantata” from Farewell, Doomed Planet! is #11 on Skylab Radio’s charts this week. Thanks for listening, and catch Skylab through the digital radio platform of your choice here.

Also, fun fact, the song is based on J.S. Bach’s Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ (BWV 177), which is also the closing song on Deerhoof’s excellent new album Future Teenage Cave Artists:

A themed Hypnagogue Podcast

This is fun–the newest Hypnagogue episode pairs up songs from the vast Hypnagogue database that have the same titles. Compare and contrast my “Departure” with Cryobiosis’s, along with seven other duos of name-matched songs. Plus, the music’s just good. Listen on the Hypnagogue website or below.
