About Adjusting the Lens: FEST:
This screening program brings together a diverse group of regional, national, and internationally recognized artists, selected by the team at Unrequited Leisure. Adjusting the Lens is a series of traveling screening events started in 2018 by Clint Sleeper and Chalet Comellas Baker.

These events are organized around thematic selections of works and have been presented in a variety of indoor and outdoor venues. This year we are launching a hybrid version of the project, featuring new online programming each day along with a presentation of the full program running on loop in our physical gallery space, Unrequited Leisure, in Nashville, TN.

A Poem For Your Song – Harm

I love creative takes on reviewing music. A Poem For Ur Song is exactly what it sounds like–they write a poem, based on your song. Here’s what they had for “Harm:”

100 seconds until
orange blood drips down the mirrored
wall of the blue sky. death dressed

and blooming as cryptotrama
asprata will turn our corpses
all mycena chlorophos

under the blacklights that some
titans will hang from the rubble
of their ashen terrarium.

I love it. See more from A Poem for Ur Song on Twitter.

Harm on CJSW

This horror soundtracks (and music that could be on horror soundtracks) episode of CJSW’s Noise show is so good, and I’m not just saying that because it includes “Harm.” Come for the Mica Levi, Nina Rota, and Jocelyn Pook, stay for the Petra Haden “Psycho” main theme + so much more. Listen on the CJSW website.

So thrilled by the response to Farewell, Doomed Planet! so far. Here are a few more spins the album’s gotten over the last couple of days.

Harm on Trust The Doc

Thanks to Neil from Trust the Doc for reviewing my new single “Harm” off upcoming album Farewell, Doomed Planet! An excerpt:

…the ambient soundscape gradually grows in volume and intensity, almost but not quite engulfing the voices before it judders to a halt one second short of three minutes (so radio programmers, take note – perfect length for airplay). So another fine track by this versatile artist.
